August in Ho Chi Minh City is humid. The moment we stepped out of the airport, warm air wrapped around us, carrying the faint smell of pho from a street stall nearby. Nobody on the team said much. We all knew why we were here.
From August 6 to 8, 2026, the 30th edition of Vietfood & Beverage – ProPack Vietnam opened its doors in Ho Chi Minh City. It is one of the most influential trade shows for the food and beverage packaging industry in Southeast Asia, bringing together manufacturers and professional buyers from across the globe. As a national high-tech enterprise specializing in intelligent weighing and packaging solutions, LEESOLU came to Vietnam not just to exhibit — we came to listen, to connect, and to plant real roots in the ASEAN market.
Why Vietnam, Why Now
Southeast Asia's food and agricultural processing sectors are growing fast. Local producers are upgrading from manual lines to automatic packaging lines, and they need partners who understand both the technology and the local reality.
We have built a solid position in China over the years. But ASEAN has always been a market we wanted to enter deeply — not just sell a few machines to, but truly grow with. That is why our management team flew in to oversee the exhibition in person.
At the Booth, More Visitors Than We Expected
The exhibition hall was loud on the first day — a mix of Vietnamese, English, Chinese, and dozens of other languages. Our booth was not the biggest, but once the machines were running, people passing by slowed down.
One visitor, a producer of agricultural products, stood in front of our booth for a long time. He did not ask about the price first. Instead, he squatted down, examined the bottom frame of the machine closely, and ran his hand along the welded joints. When he stood up, he told us through an interpreter: "I have seen many suppliers. This one — you built it seriously."
Moments like that remind us why we do what we do. Most buyers look at speed and output. The experienced ones look at the details — a single screw, a weld seam, the vibration level during operation. When a customer squats down to inspect your machine, you know he understands the craft. It also tells us that the years we have invested in self-developed weighing and packaging technology have not been wasted.
Our international sales team barely sat down during those three days. Some explained the equipment, some calculated line layouts on the spot using the customer's factory drawings, and others walked through case studies on tablets. Demand across Southeast Asia is diverse — food products, agricultural goods, different production capacities — so a one-size-fits-all approach never works. The team matched each customer with a tailored intelligent weighing and packaging solution, parameter by parameter.
Standing there and watching them work, I felt confident.
The Deal Was Signed — Quieter Than We Imagined
On the third day, the good news came.
A visitor who had inspected the running machine, listened to our solution presentation, reviewed our case studies, and gone through the technical specifications line by line made the decision on the spot: We will take this machine.
Signing, handshake, group photo. After the formalities, I was not as excited as I thought I would be. After years in this industry, you learn that a signed order means something deeper — it means the customer trusts our weighing accuracy, trusts the structural stability of the equipment, and trusts that we will make this line actually run in their factory. That trust weighs more than the order itself.
Still, on the way out of the venue, I bought everyone coffee. They earned it.
What We Learned — and What Comes Next
This trip to Vietnam was about more than closing one deal.
We saw the Southeast Asian market up close — what customers are thinking, what their production lines are missing, and how strongly they want to upgrade to smarter equipment. We also gained a clearer picture of where our food packaging machines already fit local needs, and where we can push further on localization.
As a management team, we keep telling our people one thing: going global is not about shipping machines out and moving on. It is about building a presence on the ground, delivering solid after-sales service, and making sure that when a customer uses our equipment, they are willing to tell their peers — this brand, you can trust.
Vietnam was one step. There are many more doors to open across ASEAN. LEESOLU will keep deepening our work in intelligent weighing and packaging, refining our technology, and growing alongside food and agricultural producers in Southeast Asia as they upgrade their lines.
Ho Chi Minh City at night is lively. But we know the real excitement lies in what comes next.
