This Cream Automatic Weighing Packaging System is an integrated VFFS solution specially engineered for whipping cream, heavy cream and other milk-fat dairy fluids. It combines a food-grade servo liquid metering pump and vertical form-fill-seal machine, with optional online checkweigher.
The system delivers stable filling accuracy within ±3g and runs at a rated speed of 20 bags per minute (bpm). All product-contact parts are built with 304 stainless steel, fully compliant with dairy food hygiene standards. It automates the full workflow: feeding, metering, bag forming, filling, sealing, cutting and finished pouch discharge. Widely adopted by bakery ingredient factories, dairy processors and central kitchens for pre-packaged whipping cream production.
This line is purpose-built to handle the tricky properties of whipping cream: high viscosity, shear sensitivity, easy foaming and stringing. Improper pumping pressure will destroy fat structure and cause foaming or texture degradation; viscosity shifts caused by temperature change also lead to measurement drift on conventional volumetric fillers. Our design optimizes pump selection, filling method and metering logic to solve these dairy-specific challenges.
Compatible Materials
Primary: Animal whipping cream, heavy cream, non-dairy whipping cream, whipped cream and other milk-fat emulsions
Extended: Condensed milk, drinking yogurt, milk, cheese sauce, custard sauce and other medium-low viscosity dairy products
Compatibility: Stable for emulsified formulas containing milk fat and stabilizers
Pain Points We Solve
High weighing error & heavy material loss in manual packing Manual scooping + bench scale packing often brings error over ±15g, causing massive cream giveaway and failing net content compliance. Our ±3g precision greatly cuts material waste.
Low manual throughput, production bottleneck Manual filling & sealing only reaches less than 200 bags per hour. Our 20 bpm speed equals 1200 pouches hourly, eliminating capacity pressure during peak seasons.
Dripping cream contaminates sealing area, leading to leakage Whipping cream has low surface tension and tends to drip. Standard filling nozzles leave residue on the seal zone, resulting in weak heat seals and pouch leakage during transit. We adopt anti-drip suck-back nozzles to keep sealing surfaces clean.
Strict dairy hygiene & complicated sanitation work Dairy materials spoil quickly and breed bacteria. Traditional equipment has dead corners and hard-to-disassemble piping. Our system uses quick-clamp sanitary connections with no hidden dead zones for fast CIP disassembly & cleaning.
Viscosity & temperature drift cause unstable volumetric dosing Cream viscosity changes sharply with temperature. Normal volumetric pumps suffer “same volume, different weight” deviation. Our system auto-calibrates pump stroke against real weight feedback to offset temperature and batch variation.
Vertical layout saves floor space. It connects seamlessly with upstream homogenizers, pasteurization tanks and buffer tanks, and links downstream case packers, palletizers or cold conveying lines to form a complete packaging section.
Stable & Reliable Production Capacity
Rated speed: 20 bags/min for 950g cream pouches, adjustable under optimized conditions. Servo film pulling ensures bag length tolerance ±0.5mm for neat, uniform pouches. Long MTBF, low maintenance cost, supports 7×16 hours continuous dairy operation.
All-in-one Vertical Form-Fill-Seal Design
Integrates bag forming, filling, seal cutting, date coding and counting. The metering pump synchronizes perfectly with VFFS host rhythm. Photoelectric tracking guarantees accurate cut position, and intelligent temperature control keeps consistent seal quality. Compact structure fits bakery workshops, dairy plants and central kitchens.
Intelligent Control & Data Connectivity
· Touchscreen HMI, recipe storage for one-click format changeover
· Supports linkage with checkweigher, inkjet coder and case packer for full automatic line
Working Process
The whole system runs in coordination of four modules: material feeding unit, servo metering pump unit, VFFS packaging host and finished product conveyor.
Material Feeding Whipping cream is delivered by pipeline into insulated stainless hopper. Level sensors trigger auto refilling at low level and stop feeding at high level to maintain stable inlet pressure. Optional slow agitation prevents fat separation.
Precision Metering Servo motor drives piston stroke to suck and discharge fixed cream volume to filling nozzle. Weight calibration mode runs periodically; the system automatically adjusts pump stroke to compensate viscosity and temperature variation.
Film Forming & Bag Making Packaging film passes unwinder and tension rollers into forming collar, folded into tubular shape. Longitudinal seal bonds film edge to form continuous tube, servo pulls film to preset bag length.
Bottom Seal & Filling Horizontal seal jaws first heat-seal the tube bottom. The anti-drip nozzle descends into the pouch, and the servo pump smoothly injects 950g whipping cream. Nozzle lifts once filling completes.
Top Seal & Cutting Cross jaws seal the pouch top while pre-sealing the bottom of next pouch. Built-in cutter cuts horizontally to separate finished cream pouch.
Discharge & Downstream Handling Cut pouches drop onto outlet conveyor. Optional post-process: online checkweighing, metal detection, case packing for fully automated production.
Frozen cream & export products: low-temperature resistant composite film, reinforced seal jaws, with drop test and cold resistance validation
